Megan’s teaching style is both functional and challenging. Whether you’re taking her barre or Pilates class you are going to feel stronger and sore the next day. This BW boss is known for pushing you past your comfort zone in the best way and loves to turn the volume up to her epic playlists.

Certifications: BW Pre + Post Natal Program DIrector, STOTT Mat trained, STOTT Pre - Natal trained, CanFit Pro Certified Fitness Instructor. Megan has been teaching since 2012 including group classes, workshops and private trainings. Barre West is her absolute favourite community to lead.


Morgan Johnston

Pilates Instructor + Studio Manager
Morgan teaches anatomy based Pilates classes that incorporate low-impact power moves with a major focus on core and glute strengthening. Expect smiles and a vibin' playlist in every one of her classes. Morgan fell in love with Pilates after using it to rehab after several surgeries + sports injuries and began teaching in 2020.

Certifications: STOTT Pilates Mat + Reformer, Physical Therapy Assistant, Strength & Conditioning coach and grew up playing soccer, rugby and 100m Track & Field.


Chyenne Traub

Barre Fitness Instructor
Chyenne loves teaching her classes with good music, fun energy, and knowledge on proper movement mechanics and form. She played many sports & physical activities growing up, but barre fitness & strength training hold a special place in her heart.

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Certified Personal Trainer, MRU Physical Fitness Training diploma. She has been teaching barre since 2014, and led over 1000 classes and private training sessions. 


AMY SIM

Barre Fitness + Mat Pilates Instructor

Amy’s goal is to challenge everyone out of their comfort zone to the point that your leave class feeling insanely proud or yourself. grew up playing sports. Any sport I could I did. Eventually taking basketball to collegiate level. After hanging up her sneakers, Amy found working out at the gym wasn’t quite cutting it and eventually discovered BW and joined the team as a founding instructor in 2018.

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Certified Lagree Instructor, 200hr Registered Yoga Instructor, AFLCA certified group fitness instructor. Breathe Education - Visualized Anatomy Course (2022). Amy began teaching in 2014 and has taught over 1000 classes.

The turtle wins the race for a reason...slow, steady and burning it out is Simone’s signature style. Her class will push (and grow) your limits in the most amazing ways. Pilates enthusiast for 15+ years and has taught over 2k classes since 2014.

Megan Daniels

Barre Fitness + Pilates Instructor
Megan teaches fun, energetic barre classes with a strong emphasis on proper form and muscle engagement. Expect to leave with a sweaty glow and some delightfully sore muscles. Teaching barre since 2018 and group ballet classes since 2007. She incorporates her deep anatomical knowledge with layers of creative cues aimed to activate and strengthen specific muscle groups and coordination.

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Cert IV Pilates Mat + Reformer Instructor (Breathe Education), 300 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher & classically trained ballerina. She attended the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional Division Ballet School as a teen and young adult, and danced professionally with the RWB Company following completion of her schooling.


Dr. Janet Aucoin

Barre Fitness + Pre/Post Natal Instructor
Janet’s classes are centred on proper form, anatomy, & functional movements w/ a low-impact approach. She’s a lover of a theme classes & a killer cardio snap. Janet began teaching barre in 2019, has taught over 300 group classes to date and began teaching Mom+Baby classes in 2022 to further expand her love of pre/post-natal fitness

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Certified Pre + Post Natal Instructor, Bachelor Kinesiology Honours w/ a focus on adapted physical activity and injury prevention. PHD in Injury Prevention. Pregnancy + Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist - Core Exercise Solutions (2024).


Stephanie Shaw

Pilates + Barre Fitness Instructor
Stephanie teaches fun, motivating, form focused Pilates and barre classes. She blends the best of both modalities and her energy is unmatched. Her lifelong passion for movement and community shines through in every one of her classes. Private 1-1 Pilates apparatus (Reformer/Stability Chair) sessions take up her time when not teaching classes.

Certifications: STOTT Pilates Certified, AFLCA Certified in Choreography, Group Fitness and Resistance Training, TRX Certified, Certified Barre Fitness Instructor. Steph has been teaching fitness full time since 2012.



Jennifer Ogilvie

Barre Fitness Instructor
Jenn’s dynamic and fast paced classes will have you embracing the shakes. Her favourite thing to do is design, energetic full body workouts that wake up muscles in the body you didn’t even knew existed. Sprinkle in some dry humour & bumping playlists and you’ll be addicted to her class in no time

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Breathe Education - Visualized Anatomy Course (2022). Jen’s been a barre lover since 2012 & began teaching in 2018 w/ 500+ classes taught since then. When she’s not sweating it out at the studio you'll find her running or practicing yoga.


Nathalie Cooper

Barre Fitness Instructor
Nathalie teaches a high energy class that gets your heart pumping and legs shaking. Equal parts strong and sweaty, she builds the fire fire behind your best barre burn. Choreographing to the beat drop of the music is her specialty and you'll get strength work combined with lots of cardio in her fast paced classes.

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, former ballerina w/ training at Alberta Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and in the United States at Ballet West. Nathalie began teaching barre in 2018 and has taught over 1000 classes since then.


Caitlin Kausche

Barre Fitness Instructor
Caitlin teaches high energy classic style barre fitness classes with a love for retro music remixes. She values a form first, consistency over perfection approach to both teaching and taking class. Caitlin began instructing barre in 2021 after participating in over 1000 barre classes since 2014

Certifications: Certified Barre Instructor, Performing & Visual Arts Diploma Major in Dance. She loves how barre has improved her foundational strength and mobility for her hobby sports of hiking, golfing and snowboarding.


Kate Houg

Barre Fitness Instructor
Kate focuses on a fun, dynamic, full-body barre class that will leave you sweaty and smiling. She may be tiny, but she is wicked mighty and backs up her sweetness with clever flows and transitions the whole way through class.

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Kate grew up as a competitive dancer, has been teaching since 2019 and has taught over 200 classes.


Becky Chittick

Barre Fitness Instructor
Becky loves to laugh and push her students to their limits. Her classes are motivating, upbeat and strong. Becky started dancing at the age of 4 and continued to study classical ballet throughout adulthood. In 2015 she moved to Toronto to study dance at Canada’s National Ballet School where she was enrolled in the Teacher Training Program.

Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor, Pedagogical Studies of Dance Certificate. Becky has taught at several dance and fitness studios in Toronto, Montreal, and Calgary and has led over 250 group classes.


Casey Amatto

Barre Fitness Instructor
Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness Instructor. Casey’s love for barre started back in 2018. After spending months getting her butt kicked as a client she entered into the world of teaching fitness & barre classes. Fast forward five years, instructing has become the most rewarding experience and favourite part of her week. Her teaching style is high-energy and cardio-forward that leaves clients feeling challenged, strong and accomplished.  

When not at the barre you can find Casey pursing her newfound love of running and training for her first ever half marathon.


Laura Brain

Barre Fitness Instructor + Mat Pilates Instructor
Certifications: Certified Barre Fitness + Mat Pilates Instructor.
Laura's path to movement started when a friend suggested she try a barre class, describing it as "pilates, but like, on crack". Intrigued, Laura found her way to Barre West, and the rest is history. Two years and 500 hours of practice later, Laura is thrilled to be teaching the classes she fell in love with as a client.

Laura's style is upbeat and classes are leads by helping clients find movement through mind-body connection. Outside of the studio, Laura can be found at spin class, playing volleyball, snowboarding, riding motorcycles & enjoying a post workout patio beverage.


Ashley Eckmeier

Ashely spent years searching for movement she craved. 5 years ago, a friend was raving about barre so she decided to get out of her comfort zone & try a class. As someone who is not coordinated nor very flexible, she thought she’d hate it, but it was love at first plié!

In early 2022, she dove in head first into the instructor training journey and has come out the other side with an even deeper love for barre & Pilates. Ashley’s teaching style is upbeat, energetic and face paced, choreographed to a vibe-y playlist. You can expect a deep core and booty burn, along with some humour and horrible jokes sprinkled throughout class.

    • You’re confident & capable in teaching to the beat + phrase of music.

    • Available to teach mornings, evenings and weekends Monday - Sunday.

    • We’re seeking instructors w/ Pre + Postnatal instructor training + experience! Priority given to qualified candidates.
